Chair Apparent

Remember my photo tour of the F.U.E.L. House? All those open spaces, all that expansive marble and hardwood flooring?

Yeah, well, it's beautiful, but not exactly conducive to hosting a wedding. No fleet of chairs is hidden anywhere within the F.U.E.L. House; no china, flatware, glassware are readily available for use when you rent the space.

Plates for our dinner and seats for our guests, though, are pretty high on our priority list. So...what's the Bruschetta game plan? Working through our amazing caterer we'll be renting every single piece we need for our reception. Yup, enter the pink hippo.

I've seen some amazing pictures of luxe weddings and other events in the F.U.E.L. House.

But such lavishness is beyond the Bruschetta budget! Instead, we'll be relying on the elegance of the classic-yet-modern interior, enhanced by a few key items...

Upstairs, we're splurging for black resin chivari chairs. Bone bengaline cushions coordinate with the decor, and cream cotton tablecloths finish the look.

And downstairs, we'll play up the warm hardwood floor, and add a citrusy accent with "sun copper" bengaline covers on the cocktail and high-top tables that will border the dance floor. (The proper tablecloths will go all the way to the floor -- this was just a mock-up with a few borrowed items from the rental company.)

We'll be finalizing our order with chef extraordinaire Laurent in July, so I'll report back then with pictures of our table settings -- and a few fun surprise pieces!

Are you renting tables, chairs, linens and/or tableware for your reception?
